My friend Katherine recently adopted Della from our local animal shelter. I hadn’t seen Katherine for a few weeks, and happened to run into her while picking up the mail. Katherine practically dragged me out to her car to show me Della. We talked about photos, and Katherine wanted to wait until a small patch of fur had grown in (Della had had a rash), but I pointed out that puppies (and children) grow so fast that we shouldn’t wait.
I’m so glad we didn’t. Della is adorable, and Katherine has provided a loving home to a dog that so desperately needed one.
